BlueLithium Appoints Online Advertising Pioneers To Help
Deliver New Breed of Ad Network

Jay Webster and Dave Zinman Impacted the Early Online Advertising Landscape; New Roles Allow Them to Help Shape the Industry Again

SAN JOSE, CA —March 2, 2006—BlueLithium, the company that’s reinventing the online ad network, today announced the expansion of their executive management team with the addition of two industry veterans. Jay Webster, most recently with Adteractive, joins as BlueLithium’s new chief technology officer, while Dave Zinman, who co-founded AdKnowledge, will lead product marketing and management as the vice president of product marketing.

Founder and chief executive officer Gurbaksh Chahal views the appointments as key to BlueLithium’s strategic vision and long-term success. “I’m thrilled to welcome two visionaries who have influenced the online advertising industry since its inception,” said Chahal. “Since the early days of the Internet, Jay and Dave have been responsible for innovation and it’s only appropriate that they are part of our strategy as we go to the next level. In the past two years, BlueLithium has challenged the legacy ad networks by introducing new approaches and technological innovations. With these inventive leaders on board, we are now in a position to shake up the industry even more fundamentally in the near future.”

Jay Webster brings a wealth of expertise in research, software development, networking and management in online advertising to BlueLithium. Jay recently served as the vice president of engineering for Adteractive Inc., a leading performance-based marketing and lead generation provider, where he was responsible for the design, development and deployment of the company's software systems. Jay was also president and chief technology officer of Fathom Online, where he developed one of the most comprehensive services available in the Search Engine Marketing (SEM) industry today. Earlier in his online advertising career, Jay was chief technology officer at Cybernautics, one of the first interactive advertising agencies, where he was instrumental in attracting an acquisition by USWeb. As a managing partner at USWeb, Jay developed one of the very first business-to- business portals that was eventually acquired by SAP. During his tenure at USWeb, Jay was involved in an aggressive growth surge that included several acquisitions, including CKS, and ultimately an initial public offering.

Dave Zinman comes to BlueLithium as co-founder of AdKnowledge, a pioneer in online advertising technology and the developer of the world's first central ad server. This invention became the enabling technology for much of the online advertising industry. AdKnowledge was sold to CMGI for $193 million in 1999, and Zinman became SVP of product marketing for Engage, a CMGI subsidiary. Most recently, he was senior vice president of operations and marketing for Zinio Systems, the recognized leader in digital publishing and marketing services.

“Dave has been an innovator from the beginning of online advertising, creating one of the first central ad servers in the industry, the legacy of which you see in every ad network and third party ad server today,” noted Rich LeFurgy, co-founder of the Interactive Advertising Bureau, partner at Archer and BlueLithium board member. “Bringing Dave Zinman in to lead product strategy and Jay Webster in as chief technology officer underscores the company’s serious commitment to innovation.”
